Adobe Madre building system is based on the world’s most common building method: the laying-up of humble adobe bricks. Our system expands and improves upon this time-tested method. Compared to earth homes of the past, our system offers superior strength and durability. Our US patented (U.S. Patent No: 11/610,659) methods have been developed and implemented by our construction team on over 50 major adobe projects worldwide since 1993. We believe these methods will produce a premium product that will meet and often exceed inspection standards. In addition to structural integrity and aesthetic appeal, our methods also feature sustainability due to the efficient use of natural resources for construction and a minimal effort for long-term maintenance. Many people are concerned about adobe brick walls’ resistance to rain, but our system is proven to withstand heavy and continued downpours. Our system includes the use of cement-stabilized earth plasters, bricks, and mortar. The plasters offer strong water resistance and overall protection from wind, rain and other climatic conditions. The cement in the bricks fortifies them to be more than three times stronger than the strength required by code. Our bricks have proven their ability to withstand challenging climates and to pass the test of time.
